Angelina Jolie to replace Tom Cruise

Hollywood
actress Angelina Jolie will replace Tom Cruise in the
thriller movie 'Edwin A. Salt'. The film is being rewritten
to cater to Jolie.
Once expected to star Tom Cruise, the Columbia Pictures
espionage thriller will be redrafted by screenwriter
Kurt Wimmer as a star vehicle for Angelina Jolie. Philip
Noyce remains attached as director and Lorenzo di Bonaventura
and Sunil Perkash are producing.
Jolie is close to a deal to play the title character,
a CIA officer who's accused by a defector of being a
Russian sleeper spy and must elude capture long enough
to establish her innocence.
Cruise had long flirted with the project, but that ended
recently. The well-regarded script had several male
movie stars circling.
Jolie took a liking to it, prompting the studio's decision
to rewrite it. Sources said the project won't require
that much of an overhaul to suit her.
After Universal beefed up Jolie's role in "Wanted"
and then marketed the action film squarely on Jolie's
shoulders and watched it gross $132 million domestically,
Jolie reestablished, in the wake of "Mr. &
Mrs. Smith," that she is the rare female who is
viable in the action genre, which has been almost the
exclusive domain of men.
"Edwin A. Salt" will undergo a title change,
and if everything falls into place, the film shapes
up as a return vehicle for Jolie, who recently gave
birth to twins. Another candidate for her return is
the Lionsgate drama "Atlas Shrugged," which
has been adapted by Randall Wallace from the Ayn Rand
novel.
Jolie, who also provided a lead voice in the DreamWorks
Animation hit "Kung Fu Panda," drew strong
notices at the Cannes Film Festival for her starring
role in the Clint Eastwood-directed drama "Changeling"
for Imagine and Universal. That film opens in late October.
Brangelina Sell Their New Orleans Home

Brad
Pitt and Angelina Jolie have reportedly sold their New
Orleans home. The sale of their $3.5 million home -
which they bought two years ago while Brad was filming
‘The Curious Case of Benjamin Button’ - has fuelled
reports the couple want to settle permanently in Europe.
Brad and pregnant Angelina are currently living in a
leased property in the South of France as they prepare
for the birth of their twins.
The 880-acre estate boasts 35 bedrooms, a banquet hall,
chapel, lake, moat, two pools, a gym and even a recording
studio which has been used in the past by rockers Sting
and Pink Floyd.
Despite the move, Brad, 44, will maintain strong links
with New Orleans, which is home to Brad’s Make It Right
NOLA charitable foundation. However, a spokesperson
for the couple has denied the couple have sold their
property, saying: “This rumor going around that they’ve
sold or are selling their house in New Orleans is not
true. It’s just made up, as are a lot of things that
are said about them.”
The city conveyance office also did not have any record
that the couple had sold their New Orleans home, which
they bought under the name Mondo Bongo Trust.
Angelina Jolie Thinking About Settling In France

Angelina
Jolie has hinted she is planning to settle in France
by enrolling her son Maddox in a local school.
The pregnant actress and her partner Brad Pitt, who
recently splashed out $70 million on a property on the
French Riviera, seem intent on staying in the country
and educating their six children there after Angelina
gives birth to twins.
A source said: “They have enrolled Maddox at a local
school in Brignoles, it’s the nearest school to their
chateau, and he’ll carry on where he left off at his
French school in New Orleans.”
“They are trying to get the other kids into a local
nursery in September. They both want the kids to live
normal lives, and they’re going to stay in France.”
Angelina - who has three adopted children, six-year-old
son Maddox, four-year-old Pax, Zahara, three, and two-year-old
biological daughter Shiloh, with Brad - has even hired
a private tutor to ensure the whole family become fluent
in French.
The source added to E! online: “Maddox has got a French
teacher to help him over summer and to make sure he
doesn’t forget how to speak French, and the kids are
all watching cartoons in French as well, rather than
via English cable like they had at their last place.”
“The French teacher is coming three times a week and
spending time with all of the children, as well as Brad
and Angelina.”
Angelina Jolie Giving Her Children The Childhood
She Always Wanted

Angelina
Jolie is giving her family the childhood she always
craved.
The Oscar-winning beauty - who has three adopted children,
Maddox, six, Pax, four, and three-year-old Zahara, as
well as two-year-old biological daughter Shiloh with
partner Brad Pitt - revealed it has always been her
dream to have children from different countries because
it will help them develop a more mature outlook on life.
Angelina - who is expecting twins with Brad - said:
“When I was growing up I wanted to adopt, because I
was aware there were kids that didn’t have parents.
It’s not a humanitarian thing, because I don’t see it
as a sacrifice. It’s a gift. We’re all lucky to have
each other.”
“I look at Shiloh - because, obviously, physically,
she is the one that looks like Brad and I when we were
little - and say, ‘If these were our brothers and sisters,
how much would we have known by the time we were six
that it took into our 30s and 40s to figure out?’ I
suppose I’m giving them the childhood I always wished
I had.”
Maddox was adopted from Cambodia, Pax from Vietnam and
Zahara was rescued from poverty in Ethiopia.
Angelina and Brad also make sure the nannies they employ
to help look after the children are from different walks
of life.
She added to Vanity Fair magazine: “We don’t ever have
anybody spend the night. We may have to adjust that
when the next one comes. But we do have ladies that
work with us, and they’re also from different cultures
and backgrounds. One lady’s a Vietnamese teacher - wonderful.
One is of Congolese descent from Belgium. Another is
from the States and is really creative and does art
programs.”
Angelina Jolie And Father Jon Voight Hope To
Mend Relationship

Actress
Angelina Jolie has been estranged from her father Jon
Voight for a long time, but recently the two have started
to mend their relationship.
In fact, the actress said in a recent interview that
they were starting to repair their longstanding rift.Voight,
69, told People.com, that he thinks his daughter looks
very happy right now.
He added that after looking at photos of her from the
Cannes Film Festival, “She looks like she’s having a
couple of babies.” Jolie, who is already the mother
of four, is expecting twins with partner Brad Pitt.
During an interview with The Sydney Morning Herald,
Jolie said about Voight, “We are going to try to get
to know each other and maybe try not to be this daddy
and daughter, but to be there for each other as friends
in the coming years.”
Angelina Jolie’s Slave Has Evil Media-Deceiving Twin
June 4th, 2008 at 15:00 by Shawn Lindseth
It’s been a long couple of weeks for Angelina Jolie.
Not only has she given birth to twins (one of them with
the spine on the outside), but she’s also uncovered
a previously unknown breed of dinosaur in her new French
backyard, and her food cravings just before birth caused
her to break through a bakery’s glass window pane and
eat the little man she found in there frosting cakes.
Except for the man she ate none of that’s true, of course,
but it really doesn’t matter. If Angelina’s assistant
has free reign to invent stories for the press then
so do we. Or should we say her fake assistant.
Yes, Jolie’s got some woman posing as her assistant
going about issuing press statements construed primarily
of falsehoods and deceit – that’s where the recent untrue
news Jolie gave birth in France came from.

Such
horrific lies! Now that’s our kind of woman.Angelina
Jolie’s been walking around with Brad Pitt’s new babies
stuck inside her for over a year now, and she thinks
it high time they came a’shootin’ out. What she doesn’t
realise is she can’t poop them just yet, because although
the typical human body needs only nine months to sufficiently
materialise, acting ability of any calibre needs an
additional three months.
Actually, Ang hasn’t been pregnant that long. If reports
are to be believed the exact conception date can be
traced back to a day in late November when Brad came
home with a box of chocolate Twinkies (they’re in the
oyster family). If reports aren’t to be believed than
we have absolutely no idea how long the twins haven’t
been separate sperm and egg.
A lady posing as Angelina’s assistant to several press
outlets thinks those babies have been brewing long enough,
and cooked up this story:
“According to reports in France, Angelina Jolie gave
birth on Sunday at a Catholic clinic in the Aix-En-Provence
region, OK! Magazine said Friday. French gossip sites
reported that the babies were named Isla Marcheline
and Amelie Jane, in honor of the girls’ grandmothers.”
Look familiar? It should – we reported it a bit ago.
But it’s a lie, and it hurts us to know we could be
used to pass such falsehood unto you, our dearest friends.
On a side note did you know it’s recently been discovered
that Shaquille O’Neal is the son of legendary Hulk actor
Bill Bixby and Murder She Wrote vixen Angela Lansbury?
That one’s absolutely true – we swear. It’s been double
checked!
Anyway, here’s the real scoop on the fake assistant,
as phrased by Jolie’s something or other:

“A
random individual has engaged in a scheme to intentionally
harm my client and deceive her fans, the public and
the media through illegal and tortuous impersonation
of Ms Jolie’s long-time assistant, Holly.”
Such imposter-ism hasn’t been known in Hollywood since
Skeletor made that blue He-Man - remember that? All
of Eternia was duped - and we heard it made Teela afraid
to love again. But what’s worse is the fact that Jolie’s
fake-Holly’s apparently been at it for over a year.
We don’t know what other stories she’s ruthlessly pushed
on the public - perhaps the one where Jolie once kept
manwhich in her butt for three whole days - but we certainly
hope truth shall prevail!
Really we don’t care either way, but a strong paragraph-ender
was really needed up there.
Angelina Jolie Open to Peace with Her Dad
Angelina Jolie may be opening the door to a future relationship
with her estranged father, Jon Voight.
"I am hoping my relationship with my father will be
more private in the future," Jolie told the U.K.'s Evening
Standard newspaper in an interview this week. “At the
end of the day we both wish the best for each other
and we'll try to start communicating in some way."
Jolie and Voight have had little, if any, contact since
2002, when Voight made comments to Access Hollywood
suggesting that she was unstable. The 32-year-old actress
has made it clear in interviews that she had no time
for Voight, whom she also claimed cheated on her late
mother, French actress Marcheline Bertrand.

In
the interview with the Standard, Jolie praises the parents
of partner Brad Pitt for accepting her and her children
she had adopted. "When I first met them I came in with
two adopted children from other countries and I didn't
know how they were going to be. But they equally love
with them."
She also addresses her thinner figure, which she says
is the result of trauma, not dieting."I've always
been lean and this year I lost my mom and I've gone
through a lot. I have four kids and I finished breastfeeding
- it's been hard to get my nutrition back on track.
Instead of people saying I look like a person dealing
with something emotionally, they assume it's because
I want to fit into skinny jeans."
Jolie has been seemingly everywhere this week, culminating
with the New York City premiere of her new film A Mighty
Heart. One major challenge in filming the movie, she
says, was a scene in which her character gives birth.
(The actress delivered her own daughter, Shiloh , by
Caesarean.)
"Michael [Winter bottom, the director] had to explain
labor to me because he was with his wife when she had
children,"she says. "It was very funny having a bunch
of men explaining how to scream at the top of my lungs."
