Shilpa Shetty to join 'Unforgettable' tour :

The Bachchans' upcoming Unforgettable world tour has something to look forward to - leggy lass Shilpa Shetty is all set to team up with Aishwarya Rai for two performances.

Shilpa is preparing to dance the night away with Aishwarya, Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan in London Aug 23-24 at the prestigious 02 Arena, earlier known as the Millennium Dome.

But this is not Shilpa's first show with Amitabh. "I've been on a world tour with Amitji earlier, but not with the rest of the family. And Preity Zinta, who will also be coming along, is a terrific hassle-free girl. As for Aishwarya, we're both from Mangalore. I'm looking forward to going on stage with her," Shilpa said.

Shilpa's popularity soared in Britain after her stint in reality show Big Brother, which she went on to win. And what made Shilpa join the Unforgettable tour at the eleventh hour?

"It's not a last-minute thing at all," said Shilpa. "I had been in negotiation to join the tour for a while. It finally worked out now. I'm looking forward to going on stage with the Bachchans."

While Shilpa will join the Bachchans in London, Madhuri Dixit is expected to perform in the US and Canada and Akshay Kumar will be seen at the inaugural show in Toronto July 18.

Shilpa Shetty added the much-needed Bollywood glamour to the Wills Lifestyle Fashion Week in New Delhi by walking the ramp for Tarun Tahiliani.

The actress, whose star quotient pitch forked after her win in the popular Big Brother show, set the ramp ablaze Thursday night draped in an enchanting jersey gown from gold dust sprinkled jersey inspired from the elegant sari, the essence of this collection's glamorous subtleness.

The show opened with dancers disguised as monkeys pulling antique trunks.

The journey from 'Kutch to Kenya' as the title suggested, took off with washed linens and cool summer cotton fabrics often softly crushed and crinkled in subdued whites and shades of ecru, sandy beige and pebble tints.

Elongated elegant silhouettes evoked stories from the colonial aristocracy of the early 20th century in Africa and Asia.

Talking about his collection, Tahiliani said, ''keeping with the mood of the nation, even I wanted to celebrate 60 years of Indian Independence and this collection is my way of celebrating it.'' Tunica and tunic dresses were skillfully orated with tonal threadwork, cutwork and lace trims around necklines and hems.

Macramé techniques were nobly revived to create full tunics with fringes worn over shimmer bustier.

A bustier quilted in mini diamond shapes was attached to a transparent long tulle skirt followed by long dresses. On why Shilpa was the chosen one for the show, the designer remarked, ''she fits my clothes brilliantly and is best Indian ambassador besides one of the most prominent faces abroad today.
